Greetings dearest Sol Dance Family! Here we are, yet again, on the seasonal brink of the 3rd iteration of our Sol Dance Presents series. For this special occasion, we are thrilled to be working with Reciprocity Music in bringing the internationally renowned duo – Deya Dova – to Atlanta for the first time ever as part of their US tour! We humbly invite each of you to join us on this epic ride we are invoking with the namesake – Ancestral. Because the date of this event falls so close to Halloween & the “Day of the Dead” portal, it is our intention that through Deya Dova’s music + our dancing & communal-celebration, we may honor all of our ascended loved ones, spirit guides & allies in a truly magnificent fashion. We highly encourage everyone to come dressed in CEREMONIAL ATTIRE – aka as the highest vision of themselves, spirit guides, spirit animals, allies, or in honor of ancestral lineages.

Event Flow:

The Deya Dova live experience, a highly visual live-show that has evolved as a collective ceremony, invokes a unified field, dance floor immersion of high vibrational global-bass sound. An ecstatic primal experience, the performance invokes the full range of human response. Together – we journey from ancient Earth to the Stars.

Travel on a quantum music journey to connect with the signature frequencies of ancient Earth energy centers from around the planet. Featuring select remixes and live versions of the Planetary Grid Music together with music from the Myth of the Cave & Symbiotic albums.

Deya Dova creates & designs her own avatar costuming and works in collaboration with a host of performing artists to weave euphoric mythic ritual performance.

About Deya Dova:

Deya Dova is an international touring artist, visionary, singer, and music producer recording live on the Earth’s energy lines across the planet.

Currently based in Byron Bay Australia, Deya Dova originates from the remote Nullarbor desert of South Australia. She was born into the world in her intact water membrane, an auspicious sign of her innate connection between the worlds. Deya taught herself music sitting around fires under immense desert starscapes, singing straight from her soul.

About Scott Houston:

In over a decade of utilizing dance as a healing modality, Scott Houston has come to believe in the inherent wisdom of the body and the power of sound to move it. As an accredited 5Rhythms Teacher and seasoned host of Ecstatic Dance – Scott produces & facilitates events, classes, and workshops that are an open path to healing through a communion with the embodied self.

As an Atlanta-based artist & DJ – Scott is regionally known for his residency with the chic underground music collective, Project B. and as such, has had the privilege of vibe-setting for a variety of International Artists including: Acid Pauli, Poranguí, Mose, Mihigh, Raresh, Paco Osuna, Stan Zeff, Afro Warriors, Tara Brooks & Yoko0. Scott is also a classically-trained musician of 20 years, a life-long dancer, devoted Husband & Father, performance artist, as well as Resident DJ & Co-Founder of Sol Dance alongside his partner Maya.

Sonically, Scott delivers his sound as ritual for enthusiasts of the deep and sacred. Seamlessly weaving evocative, hypnotic soundscapes & bass-lines alongside traditional ethno-medicine songs that have the capacity to transform darkness to light.

Maya’s mission is to help people feel at home within their skin. As a psychotherapist, yogi, dancer, singer and ceremonial facilitator, she is dedicated to guiding others on their road to authenticity, integrating mind, heart, body and spirituality in her approach to wellness.

She specializes in body-focused psychotherapy, art therapy, yoga, dance-movement practices, shamanism and women’s spirituality. She is grateful to facilitate experiences that bring people into intimacy with their hearts and bodies, paving way for deeper connections with each other, with the Earth and with the present moment.
